Scientists hunt for hidden germs in kidney disease

NCT ID NCT04669860

Summary

This study aims to understand what types of bacteria and fungi are present in the urine and kidney tissues of people with calcium oxalate kidney stones or kidney cancer, compared to healthy people. Researchers will collect samples from 90 participants during their standard medical procedures. The goal is to gather knowledge about how these microbes might relate to these kidney conditions, not to test a treatment.
