New gel treatment aims to save kidneys from cancer surgery

NCT ID NCT06822010

Summary

This study is testing a combination of two chemotherapy drugs, delivered directly into the kidney, to treat a specific type of upper urinary tract cancer. The main goal is to see if this approach can effectively control the cancer while allowing patients to keep their kidney, avoiding the standard surgery to remove it. About 28 adults with favorable, high-grade tumors that cannot be fully removed with a scope will participate to measure safety and how well the cancer responds.
