Double attack on rogue immune cells could protect kidneys
NCT ID NCT03949855
Summary
This study is testing if a combination of two immune-suppressing drugs works better than one to control primary membranous nephropathy, a serious autoimmune disease that damages the kidneys. It will enroll 58 adults to see if adding belimumab to rituximab leads to a more lasting reduction in kidney damage and protein loss in urine. The main goal is to see if patients achieve remission by week 104 of the study.
