Scientists hunt for hidden culprit in kidney damage
NCT ID NCT06718894
Summary
This study aims to create a laboratory test that can detect harmful substances in the blood of people with a specific kidney disease called primary podocytopathy, which causes nephrotic syndrome. Researchers will compare blood and urine samples from 150 people—including patients with this kidney disease, patients with other kidney diseases, and healthy individuals—over three years. The goal is to see if this lab system can reliably identify the damaging factors and test potential drug combinations against them in a dish, not in people.
