New strategy aims to unlock full power of Kidney-Protecting drugs
NCT ID NCT06256991
Summary
This study is testing if a drug called patiromer can help people with moderate to severe chronic kidney disease safely take higher doses of a common kidney-protecting blood pressure medication (irbesartan). In this 44-person trial, participants will try both patiromer and a placebo in a random order to see which one better allows for increasing the medication dose. The main goal is to see if this leads to better control of kidney damage and blood pressure.
