Scientists test new combo to fight spreading kidney cancer

NCT ID NCT01038778

Summary

This study tested a new combination of two drugs, entinostat and aldesleukin, for patients with advanced kidney cancer that has spread. The goal was to find a safe dose and see if the combination could help control the cancer better than one drug alone. It involved 47 patients and focused on safety, how well the treatment worked, and how long the benefits lasted.
