New scan could reveal if cancer drugs work within weeks

NCT ID NCT01224288

Summary

This study is testing whether a special type of CT scan can help doctors see if cancer drugs are working sooner. The scan measures blood flow to kidney cancer tumors. About 120 patients with advanced kidney cancer will get these scans before and after starting drug treatment to see if changes in blood flow predict treatment success.
