New drug combo aims to boost immune system against advanced kidney cancer before surgery
NCT ID NCT04370509
Summary
This study tested whether giving a drug called pembrolizumab, with or without another drug called axitinib, before and after surgery could help people with advanced kidney cancer. The goal was to see if this approach could better control the cancer and reduce the chance of it coming back after the operation. The trial was small and ended early, so its results are limited.
