Danish trial tests if tiny stent can save kidneys and hearts
NCT ID NCT05834803
Summary
This study is testing if a procedure to open a narrowed kidney artery with a small stent helps high-risk patients more than just taking the best available medications. It will compare the effects on blood pressure, kidney function, and hospital visits for heart failure. Some patients will get the real stent procedure, while others will get a 'sham' (fake) procedure, and neither they nor their doctors will know which one they received.
