New drug combo aims to outsmart tough cancers
NCT ID NCT07260305
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This early-stage trial tests a new drug called KGX101, given alone or with another immunotherapy (envafolimab), in people with advanced or metastatic solid tumors that have not responded to standard treatments. The main goals are to check safety and find the best dose. About 57 participants will receive the drug every three weeks and be closely monitored.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
KGX101 (an engineered protein that stimulates the immune system) and envafolimab (an immunotherapy drug)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could point toward a new treatment option for people with advanced solid tumors that have stopped responding to standard therapies.
What could go wrong
This is a very early (Phase 1) trial with only 57 participants, so the main goal is safety, not effectiveness. The drug may cause side effects or not shrink tumors.
