Summary
This study tested whether a ketone ester supplement, taken for 28 days, could change how the brain uses fuel and affect thinking skills. It included 99 adults aged 55 and older who had metabolic syndrome but no memory problems. Participants were randomly assigned to receive either the supplement or a placebo, and researchers measured brain ketone levels and cognitive performance.
