NCT ID NCT05732909
First seen Mar 09, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study looked at whether drinking ketones can improve how muscles work in healthy young (20-25) and elderly (65-85) men. Participants drank a ketone drink and then had their muscle function measured using special MRI scans, tracer infusions, and exercise tests on a bike and strength machine. The goal was to see if age changes how muscles respond to ketones.
