Ketone drink may boost muscle repair after workouts
NCT ID NCT06769100
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looked at whether drinking a ketone supplement can increase muscle protein synthesis (muscle repair and growth) after resistance exercise in 48 healthy young adults. Researchers compared the effects of the ketone drink alone, with whey protein, or with plain water. The goal was to see if ketones could enhance the muscle-building response to exercise and protein.
