Summary
This study is testing whether a single dose of a nutritional drink containing ketones can help reduce alcohol cravings and the amount of alcohol people drink. Researchers will compare the effects of the ketone drink to a placebo drink in 20 adults with alcohol use disorder who are not currently seeking treatment. They will measure brain activity, craving levels, and actual alcohol consumption in a controlled setting.
