Can a keto diet fix irregular periods? new PCOS study investigates

NCT ID NCT07227363

Summary

This 12-week pilot study is exploring whether two different ketosis-based approaches can help improve symptoms of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). Researchers at Ohio State University are enrolling 40 women with PCOS to compare a strict ketogenic diet against a standard diet plus ketone supplements. The main goal is to see if either method can help restore regular ovulation and improve hormone balance and metabolism.
