Summary
This study tests whether ketamine or lidocaine infusions can better control pain and reduce the need for opioids in people with multiple broken ribs from trauma. About 74 adults with at least three broken ribs will receive one of the two medications alongside standard care. The goal is to improve breathing, prevent complications like pneumonia, and shorten hospital stays.
