Mindfulness meets ketamine: new hope for tough opioid addiction cases
NCT ID NCT07369089
Summary
This study is testing whether adding a specific mindfulness training program to ketamine-assisted therapy helps people with opioid addiction who are already on medication treatment. Researchers want to see if this combination reduces opioid use and cravings better than ketamine therapy with a regular support group. The study will involve 88 adults who are currently using opioids despite treatment, and it will track their drug use, cravings, and mood over time.
