Can therapy make a pain drug last longer?
NCT ID NCT05639322
Summary
This small, completed study explored whether adding psychotherapy to ketamine treatment helps make pain relief last longer for people with chronic nerve pain. Thirty adults with moderate-to-severe nerve pain were randomly assigned to receive either ketamine, psychotherapy, or a combination of both. The main goal was to see if this combined approach was practical and safe to study further, while also checking if it reduced pain and its interference in daily life.
