NCT ID NCT01602185
First seen Apr 29, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This small study looked at 7 adults with long-term nerve pain (neuropathic pain) to see if taking memantine or dextromethorphan after a ketamine treatment could help maintain or improve pain relief. Participants had already responded well to ketamine. The study measured pain levels and quality of life to find a better way to manage pain after ketamine's effects wear off.
