Scientists scan brains to see how anesthesia affects memory and pain

NCT ID NCT07294092

Summary

This study aims to understand how two common anesthesia drugs, ketamine and propofol, affect brain activity related to memory and pain. Researchers will scan the brains of 60 healthy adults using MRI and EEG while they receive the drugs alone and in combination. The goal is to gather basic knowledge about how these drugs change brain connections and activity, not to test a new treatment.
