First seen May 12, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tested whether a single infusion of ketamine combined with magnesium can reduce the number of daily attacks in people with chronic cluster headache that hasn't responded to standard treatments. 93 adults with at least 2 attacks per day received either the ketamine-magnesium combination or an active placebo. The main goal was to compare the number of weekly attacks before and after treatment.
