Ketamine boost for severe depression: faster relief on the horizon?

Summary
This study tests whether adding a single dose of ketamine to the antidepressant venlafaxine can speed up symptom relief in people hospitalized for severe depression. About 60 adults with major depression will receive either ketamine or a placebo alongside venlafaxine. The goal is to see if the combination leads to faster improvement, reducing suffering and hospital stays.
