Ketamine shots tested to speed up PTSD recovery in veterans
NCT ID NCT04560660
Summary
This study tested whether adding repeated ketamine infusions to a standard talk therapy (Prolonged Exposure) could help Veterans with PTSD get better faster. 75 participants received either ketamine or a placebo (inactive substance) once a week for three weeks while undergoing therapy. The main goal was to see if this combination was safe and more effective at reducing PTSD symptoms than therapy alone.
