Summary
This study is testing if a single dose of the drug ketamine, given through an IV, can quickly improve depression in veterans with Parkinson's disease. Researchers will compare ketamine to a placebo in 80 veterans to see if it safely reduces depression within a day. They will also check if the treatment affects the brain's ability to adapt and levels of inflammation, which could help explain how it works.
