Ketamine shows promise in fighting opioid addiction cravings

Summary

This study is testing whether low doses of ketamine can help reduce cravings and withdrawal symptoms in adults who are starting methadone treatment for opioid addiction. Researchers will compare two different low doses given four times over two weeks to see which works better. Participants will be followed for 90 days to check if the treatment helps them stay in treatment longer and have fewer cravings.
