Scientists probe Ketamine's secret: does it 'Power Up' depressed cells?
NCT ID NCT07399756
Summary
This study aims to understand how the antidepressant drug S-ketamine works by looking at its effects on mitochondria, the energy centers of cells, in people with hard-to-treat depression. Researchers will enroll 30 adults and measure markers related to cell energy in their blood before and after ketamine treatment. The goal is to see if changes in these energy markers can help predict or explain who benefits from the treatment.
