Summary
This was the first study in humans to test a new drug called KBP-5074. Researchers gave single, increasing doses to 46 healthy volunteers to check for side effects and see how the body absorbs and processes the drug. The goal was to gather basic safety information to help plan future studies in patients with kidney disease and high blood pressure.
