Florida trial tests herbal remedy to help smokers cut back and reduce cancer risk
NCT ID NCT05081882
Summary
This study is testing whether a daily supplement made from kava, a plant from the Pacific Islands, can help people who smoke reduce their tobacco use and lower their risk of developing lung cancer. Researchers will give the supplement to 20 adult smokers in Florida who currently have no plans to quit. The main goal is to see if people can stick to taking the supplement daily and if it helps them smoke less.
