Summary
This study is testing whether taking a dietary supplement called kava extract can help reduce stress and feelings of burnout in nurses. Researchers at Mayo Clinic will enroll 200 surgical nurses to see if kava lowers the stress hormone cortisol and improves their mood, sleep, and motivation. The goal is to find a natural option to help healthcare workers cope with job-related stress.
