First seen Apr 26, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study looks at whether placing a newborn baby skin-to-skin on the mother's chest right after birth helps first-time mothers breastfeed more successfully and feel more confident as a mom. About 112 mothers will take part, with half receiving this special kangaroo care and the other half getting standard hospital care. The goal is to see if this simple, loving contact makes a real difference.
