NCT ID NCT07231432

Summary

This study aims to create and test community-based support programs to help mothers of low birth weight or premature babies continue practicing Kangaroo Care (skin-to-skin contact) at home after leaving the hospital. Researchers are working with 190 mothers, healthcare workers, and village health workers in rural India to design practical support methods. The goal is to find the best combination of community support to help mothers keep their fragile infants warm and bonded through this simple, protective practice.
