Kaleidoscopes and cartoons: fun distractions that may ease Kids' dental needle pain
NCT ID NCT07462364
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether using a kaleidoscope or watching cartoons during a dental numbing shot can lower pain, fear, and anxiety in children ages 7 to 12. About 126 kids will be randomly assigned to one of three groups: using a kaleidoscope, watching cartoons, or standard care (no distraction). The goal is to find simple, non-drug ways to make dental visits less stressful for children.
