Phone app aims to curb eating disorder urges in real time
NCT ID NCT06226233
Summary
This study is testing whether a smartphone app called Juniver can help people manage symptoms of eating disorders like anorexia, bulimia, and binge eating. The app provides self-help lessons, interactive tools, and moderated peer support groups, all designed to help users cope with difficult urges in the moment. Researchers will compare 300 participants using the app for 12 weeks against a group waiting to use it, measuring changes in eating disorder symptoms, depression, anxiety, and stress.
