Summary

This study tested a special high-fat, low-carb diet called the ketogenic diet (named JT821) in 32 people with mild to moderate Alzheimer's disease. The goal was to see if the diet could improve memory and thinking skills over 26 weeks compared to a placebo. The diet is thought to help brain cells work better by providing an alternative energy source.
