Pen and paper power: journaling may supercharge psychotherapy

Summary

This study looks at whether adding a structured therapy journal to standard cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) helps people with mental health conditions like depression, anxiety, or eating disorders feel better faster. About 80 adults in outpatient CBT will be randomly assigned to either CBT alone or CBT plus journaling. Researchers will track progress using questionnaires to see if journaling leads to quicker or greater improvement.
