New drug cocktail aims to tame multiple myeloma
NCT ID NCT06768489
First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This early-stage trial is testing a new drug called JNJ-79635322 in combination with other myeloma treatments (daratumumab, lenalidomide, or pomalidomide) in 140 people with multiple myeloma. The main goal is to find a safe and effective dose and to see how well the body tolerates the combinations. Researchers will also look for early signs that the treatment is shrinking the cancer.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
JNJ-79635322 (a drug given under the skin) combined with daratumumab (injected), and either lenalidomide or pomalidomide (pills)
What this could lead to
If successful, this could point toward a new combination treatment option for multiple myeloma that may help control the disease longer.
What could go wrong
This is an early Phase 1 trial with only 140 participants, so it is primarily testing safety and dosing. It is too soon to know if the combination will work better than existing treatments, and side effects are expected.
