First human tests begin for new antibiotic candidate

Summary
This is a very early, first-in-human study to check the safety and how the body processes a new antibiotic drug called JKN2501. It will involve 66 healthy Chinese adults who will receive either the drug or a placebo. The main goal is to see if the drug is safe and to measure its levels in the blood and urine over time.
