First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study tests a new, non-surgical stomach procedure called Endoscopic Radial Compression Gastroplasty (ERCG) combined with lifestyle changes for weight loss in Chinese adults who are overweight or have mild-to-moderate obesity. About 216 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the real procedure or a sham procedure, and all will follow an optimized lifestyle program. The goal is to see if ERCG helps people lose more weight safely compared to lifestyle changes alone.
