First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 34 times
Summary
This study tested a device called ivWatch that monitors IV sites in cancer patients getting chemotherapy. The goal was to see if it could detect when medication leaks out of the vein into surrounding tissue before a nurse notices. Over 2,400 patients took part, and the device may help prevent tissue damage from chemo leaks.
