NCT ID NCT07229417
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This phase 2 trial is testing a drug called ivonescimab in people with a specific type of breast cancer called invasive lobular carcinoma that has spread and no longer responds to hormone therapy. The study includes 29 adults whose cancer is either hormone-receptor positive or triple negative. The goal is to see if ivonescimab can help control the cancer and to check for side effects.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Ivonescimab (a drug given by IV)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could point toward a new treatment option for hard-to-treat lobular breast cancer that has stopped responding to hormone therapy.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-phase trial with only 29 participants, so results may not apply widely. The drug may cause side effects or fail to control the cancer.
