New study aims to spot hidden cancer spread in Hard-to-Detect breast cancer type
NCT ID NCT07635654
First seen Jun 11, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 11, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether a special type of MRI (WB-DWI/MRI) and blood tests for tumor DNA can better detect cancer spread in people with metastatic invasive lobular breast cancer, a type that is often missed by standard scans. About 43 participants starting their first treatment will get both standard scans and the new MRI, plus blood tests, over up to 30 months. The goal is to see if these tools help doctors make more accurate treatment decisions and improve patient care.
