First seen Nov 24, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study tested whether a combination of intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIg) and prednisolone can help women with unexplained recurrent pregnancy loss after assisted reproductive technology (like IVF) have a successful pregnancy. Eighty women received either the active drugs or a placebo during early pregnancy. The goal was to see if the treatment increased the chance of a live birth by calming the immune system, which may play a role in miscarriage.
