Two-Hormone IVF trigger shows promise for better eggs

NCT ID NCT00854373

Summary

This study tested if adding a second hormone (FSH) to the standard one-hormone (hCG) injection given before egg retrieval could improve outcomes for people undergoing IVF. Researchers wanted to see if this two-hormone approach, which more closely mimics a natural menstrual cycle, would lead to better egg maturation, higher fertilization rates, and improved chances of pregnancy. The trial involved 232 participants and was designed to compare the two methods.
