First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tested whether ivabradine, a medicine that slows the heart rate, could prevent migraine attacks triggered by a substance called levcromakalim. Thirty-seven adults with migraine without aura took part. Researchers measured how many migraine attacks occurred after taking ivabradine compared to a placebo. The goal was to see if ivabradine could block the migraine-causing effects of levcromakalim.
