First seen Mar 02, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study aimed to see if a device called Buzzy, which vibrates and cools the skin, could reduce pain during IV insertion in adults with chronic pain who receive lidocaine infusions. The plan was to compare pain scores and satisfaction between those using Buzzy and those getting no pain relief. However, the study was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled.
