First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests if giving IV acetaminophen (like Tylenol) can control pain as well as opioids in people hospitalized with a small bowel obstruction. About 18 adults will be randomly assigned to receive either IV acetaminophen or usual opioid pain care. Researchers will measure pain scores, how quickly the blockage resolves, and hospital stay length.
