Summary
This early-phase study tests a new approach for people with type 2 diabetes who need insulin. Doctors will take a small sample of pancreatic tissue, grow insulin-making cells in the lab, and transplant them under the belly skin. The goal is to see if these cells can safely produce insulin and reduce or replace the need for insulin shots. The study includes 24 adults and focuses mainly on safety.
