First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether it is safe to skip placing a drain in the belly after surgery to remove part of the pancreas. About 234 adults having this surgery will be randomly assigned to get a drain or not. The goal is to see if not using a drain leads to fewer serious problems like infections or fluid leaks.
