Summary

This study tests whether giving an iron infusion before weight-loss surgery can prevent anemia and improve quality of life in obese patients with low iron. About 200 participants will receive either the iron supplement or a placebo. The goal is to see if this simple treatment helps maintain healthy blood levels and reduces the need for further iron treatment after surgery.
