First seen May 04, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tests whether taking iron supplements can improve exercise performance in low-oxygen conditions, like at high altitudes. Five healthy adults will take iron pills and then exercise on a bike while researchers measure their maximum workload and oxygen use. The goal is to see if iron helps the heart and lungs work better when oxygen is scarce.
